Snake Alley Film Festival by Deborah Sims

Well, the pandemic has certainly disrupted all the film festivals just as LOUIE was headed out. This month, the Snake Alley Festival of Film is going on at the end of the month and LOUIE has been chosen! 2 previous Outcast Cafe films have screened at SNAFF: ONE YEAR’S CROP and COYOTE GIRL. Burlington Iowa is a great little city and we have met many wonderful film makers there. Unfortunately, we won’t be traveling to this year’s festival. If you are nearby…don a mask and check it out July 30 - August 2.

LOUIE chosen for the Block Island Film Festival by Deborah Sims

We are excited to be chosen for the Block Island Film Festival which is scheduled to take place this June. (They are monitoring the current health crisis.)

The Block Island Film Festival boasts notable actors, directors, screenwriters, filmmakers, student filmmakers and entertainment professionals, on the beautiful resort destination known as Block Island, located 13 miles off the coast of Rhode Island. A consortium of global industry professionals gather to mingle with contemporaries, and the public, in intimate settings, such as film screenings, spotlight programs, tribute and award ceremonies, question and answer forums, and nightly social mixers.

The second annual Block Island Film Festival will run from June 15-20, 2020. The Atlantic Ocean and the harbors are within a short distance from venues during the film festival, which is a non-profit event designed to benefit the Block Island community.

Cast Update by Deborah Sims

Finn Wittrock who plays Young Roscoe in LOUIE is currently filming DEEP WATER with Ben Affleck in New Orleans. DEEP WATER is based on a Patricia Highsmith novel and is directed by Adrian Lyne. An erotic thriller! Can’t wait.
